- A. The Powder House Lodge
is located approx 1.5 miles N of Keystone on Hwy 16A. This leaves us
Approx 4 miles from Mt Rushmore.

Located to Area Attractions? |
|

Yes, The Powder
House Lodge is located on Hwy 16A approx. 1.5 miles North Of
Keystone, and 4 Miles from Mt Rushmore. Most other attractions in the
Hills are 30-45 minutes away with the exception being Deadwood, Hot
Springs, and the Badlands, all of which are approximately 1.25 hours in
opposite directions.

Q. What is your cancellation Policy? |

A. The Powder
House Lodge requires the first nights stay on a credit card as a
deposit. Your credit card will be charged for the deposit. If you need
to cancel for any reason we require 72 hours notice. Anything less
than 72 Hours will result in a forfeiture of deposit and any payments
made. We also have a $25.00 (Twenty-Five Dollar) cancellation fee
accessed on all cancellations once your credit card has been processed,
irregardless if cancellation is made more than 72 hours in advance.

Q. Do we need to bring towels and Linens or are they provided? |

- A. No. The
Powder lodge provides all necessary linens

for its guests as well as daily maid service.

Q. Do you have a pool? |

A. Yes, the
Powder House Lodge has a heated outdoor pool that is open from Memorial
Day until Labor Day*. *(pool
may closed due to inclement weather) |

Q. Do you have a
Hot Tub? |
|
|
- A.
At this time the Powder House Lodge does NOT have a public hot tub,
however the Honeymoon Cabin does a have a covered deck with a private 2
person hot tub.

Q. Do you allow Pets? |
|
|
- A.
Yes the Powder House Lodge does allow pets. However there is a one time
fee of $15.00 for pets. This is a fee, not a deposit and will not be
refunded at the conclusion of your stay.

Q. Will
we see wildlife during our stay at the Powder House? |
|
|
- A.
While we cannot guarantee that you will see wildlife, it is not uncommon
for our guests to see Deer, and Turkey on the property. In the
past we have also had Mountain Goats and Elk, that have made several
appearances on the grounds.

Q. Do you Provide Utensil in the Kitchenette. |

Sorry, but no we do not provide utensils, nor plates of any type in our units
with a kitchenette.

Q. Do your cabins/rooms have Air conditioning and/ or Heat? |

- A.
Yes, all of our Cabins/rooms have Air Conditioning and heat in them.

Q. Do your cabins/ rooms have a television? |

A.
Yes, all rooms/cabins have Limited Cable TV. |

Q. Can we make reservations online? |

Sadly, we do not have the capabilities to take reservations online at
this time. We also can not take reservations via email, unless a guest
is an international traveler. |

Q. Do you have High Speed Internet? |

A.
Yes, we do have high speed wireless Internet in our Restaurant and
Office, that guests may log into. However at this time we do not have it
across the entire facility. |

Q. Do You have onsite Laundry Facilities? |

A.
Yes, The Powder House Lodge added on site laundry facilities for its
guests in the spring of 2006. |

Q. Do You take reservations for the restaurant? |
|
|
A.
Yes, the restaurant does take reservations. Are they required? No,
reservations are not required for dinner, however for parties of 5
people or more, they are strongly recommended during the time period
between mid-June and the end of August. |

Q. How far are you from the Rapid City Regional Aiport? |

A.
Rapid City Regional Airport is Approximately a 45 minute drive from the
Powder House Lodge. For Directions please go to the

Q. Are the Rates on the Internet Current? |
|
|
A.
Yes, the rates on the Internet are Current. However, we do run some
specials on certain rooms throughout the season. While we try to post
these specials on the Internet, you can always call our toll free number
and we would be more than happy to check availability and rates for you. |

Q. Is there is any discounts on rooms in the off-season? |
|
|
A.
Yes, their are discounts for the times in our off-season. Off-season
rates are during the period before Memorial Day and begin again after
Labor Day. Please call for off-season rates and availability. |

Q. We are interested in a family reunion at you facility. Do accommodate
these kinds of functions? |
|
|
A.
Yes, the Powder House Lodge has hosted scores of family reunions over
the years, The Powder House has also hosted wedding parties, and even
had wedding ceremonies performed on site in the past. If you have any

Q. When do you start taking reservations for the season? |
|
|
A.
We actually take reservations throughout the entire year. During the
Winter we set-up a satellite office and do business from there. However,
we do not start taking reservations for the next season until after
Labor Day. We do this so that Family Reunions and other large groups
have a chance to book the rooms they require. However, after Labor Day
we begin taking reservations for following season. |
